Electrical Systems Engineer
At Climeon, our mission is to power a sustainable future by converting waste heat into clean electricity. To achieve our mission we are building the world’s most cost-efficient, low-temperature ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) system. Our latest heat-to-power product (HeatPower 300) is a key step in our mission.
Our small but mighty R&D team is now looking for an Electrical Systems Engineer to join the quest. The electrical team works as an integrated part of the mechanical, software and system design teams, and together with our partners we cover everything from novel research to technical support at our customer sites.
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you'll balance a broad understanding of the complete system with deep knowledge of the electrical system and its details.
You'll follow your work all the way from concept and design to testing, commissioning and supporting systems in operation. It's a role where you'll see your ideas become real products and play a part in the overall success of the HeatPower platform.
In this role, you will:
• Own the complete electrical system and cabinet design, including power electronics, power supply systems, motor/generator control systems, safety systems.
• Drive the specification, design, integration, verification and commissioning of the electrical system.
• Prepare and review electrical drawings and schematics.
• Configure and design electrical drive interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, classification society requirements and grid codes.
• Optimize the electrical system for manufacturing and assembly.
• Own the electrical safety of the system through fault and load calculations, protection systems coordination, cable sizing and safety component selection.
• Support the service team both from the office and together on customer sites.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, we think you will need:
• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• A strong electrical engineering foundation. Maybe you're ready to broaden your influence beyond your own discipline, or maybe you already think at the system level but still enjoy getting into the technical details. Either way, you're motivated by contributing to the overall success of the product.
• At least five years of relevant experience, so you've seen things go well, things go badly, and learned a thing or two from both.
• Knowledge of, and curiosity about, power electronics, automation, switchgear, inverters, motors or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with testing (multimeters, oscilloscopes, test procedures), manufacturing or prototyping.
• Strong communication skills. Fluent English is required, Swedish is a plus. Being able to listen, share ideas and adapt is a key part of how we work in R&D.
Powering a sustainable future is a team sport, and we're looking forward to seeing how your unique experience and perspective complement our R&D team. Don't hesitate to apply if you don't meet every requirement above, there's plenty of room to grow! We are always looking for a curious, skilled, driven and kind team player to join our quest of making the world a better place. Could this be you?
We look forward to your application!
